25 February 2013 - Aracaju Brazil

Hello friends and family! Welcome to another episode of Elder Frogley spreading the Good News of the Gospel in Brazil! In this week's update, Elder Frogley postulates on why the Maceió mission was not affected by the big mission re-org that occurred earlier this year (when many new missions were created from existing ones, including where I live near Portland, Oregon), he teaches a young homosexual man who wants to live the Gospel, and he marvels at the blessings afforded to missionaries from the Lord.

Our mission was not effected, probably because were the best and they didnt want to mess it up!
Sup family and friends!
Love you guys. SO this week was historic! First lets set the stage. Were feeling all depressed because Daniel (our favorite investigator who was really interested) was not doing anything we told him to do. And so we had to drop him. Talk about lame as poop! But we were also blessed! We went to district meeting and we told them about our two homosexual investigators and how we hadnt comited them to baptism yet because we though they were more converted to us and they creeped me out and stuff. But they told us to do it anyway. So we went to Fernandezs house. The more gay of the two (we thought), we taught the dreaded lesson on chastity (because hes gay) and word of wisdom (because he has a smoking problem). After chastity he told us that he hated when people had sexual relations out of wedding and that he had abstained from any relations after he found out he was gay because he thought it was wrong! He said he believed everything was true and wanted to be baptised! We just have to get him to quit smoking! And at the end he asked for a blessing! how awesome... So after that we were realling, and decided to visit Rodrigo (our other homosexual friend) the next day. We taught him about the plan of salvation, law of chastity, and word of wisdom in one rocking lesson. He had a lot of questions about homosexuality and coffee and drinking and such. At the very end I felt prompted to ask him something simple. I asked if he knew that Joseph smith was a prophet. He said yes. Then if he knew if the Livro De Mormon foi o pelavras de Deus. Sorry, if the book of Mormon was the word of God. He said yes. and then why. He then told us about how he felt when he read and prayed. We asked him to be baptised the next day (thiswas friday) and he said he would take the interview from our district leader and fight against his homosexual urges. He had the interview, he has something big he needs to be interviewd by the president about but he agreed to be interviewed! He also is coming to church with us regularly and he answeres more questions then we do! What a champ. I love the holy ghost. Were going to find more investigators tomorrow so wish us luck! I send yall some pics now! Love you lots!
